Gallery 626

Exhibition at Gallery 626 (626 Main St., Vancouver) – March 18-22, 2026

Izumi Yvonne Araki – Sackcloth – “For dust you are and to dust you will return”

A meditation on fragility and grief, and a slow awakening to God's grace. Born from deeply personal experience, this exhibition offers a shared ground for lament and quiet reflection. Visitors are invited to touch, to feel, and to enter—tracing the tender contours of our human condition as it reaches toward the Divine.

Special projection by Olivier Bruneau – 18th, 21st, and 22nd after dark. The gallery will be open from noon to 7:00 or 8:00 pm depending on projection schedule.

On Sunday the 22nd, there will be a Q&A from 5:00 pm. On that day, a little bread and "wine" will be served as an image of communion.

Izumi is a textile artist and works with International Student Ministries Canada. She preached for PGIMF on August 4, 2024.
