A selection of readings and prayers highlighted our eternity Sunday service, created and led by J. Evan Kreider. Beginning with scripture from Psalms to Revelation, the congregation was led from the fatalism of the last light to our hope in eternal life, and from there through the writings and words of Martin Luther King, Jr, Dorothy Sölle, and Edna St. Vincent Millay to a commemoration of our friends who have gone before us: Verna Reesor, William J.J. Riediger, Bert McGee, Henry Hildebrand, Hildegard Lemke, Hedie Hintz, Hilda Sawatzky and Betty Funk; and communion was served.
